About the piece
Handmade and wheel-thrown in Brooklyn, New York, from iron-rich red stoneware and fired to Cone 6. The raw, unglazed exterior highlights the natural color and texture of the clay, while the warm shino-glazed interior is fully watertight.
This vessel does not include a drainage hole and is best suited for plants that thrive in containers without drainage, such as pothos, spider plants, and calatheas. Slightly larger than Vessel No. 09, it can also accommodate a small nursery pot, allowing the plant to remain in its original container and watered separately.
This piece is the larger of the two similar shaped forms. Each piece is one of a kind.

Care
All functional pieces are finished with food-safe glazes. While dishwasher-safe, hand washing is recommended to preserve the surface and finish. Lighter glazes may develop subtle staining over time, a quiet record of use and care.
